After 15 years of professional work in various clinical settings with individuals and families of various populations, I decided to take that culmination of experience and offer it from an office.
Life can be really, really challenging. For many it's trauma - a situation or realization that shakes you to the core, and what that means or looks like certainly varies from person to person. Ultimately I feel we, as humans, truly want to be the best versions of ourselves as possible...it's just that "stuff" gets in the way. I have the privilege of getting to know people on a deeply personal level, and what these brave individuals have taught me over the years is that we are all surprisingly similar. Regardless of backgrounds and circumstances, we humans share many common emotions, impressions, and relational dynamics. We are also beautifully resilient creatures, and we can endure and persevere and THRIVE despite the sometimes overwhelming obstacles and hindrances along our paths. I believe we possess the answers within ourselves. I also believe the support and perspective of an objective person outside of our personal circle can absolutely be the key to self-actualization.
I value all of my clients' resources, and I consider it an honor to be with you on your journey. Therapy is a process: from getting to know who you are now as well as exploring the key relationships of your past, to sharing in the "ah-ha" moments of insight and awareness, to encouraging you during the challenging changes that ultimately have to be made. They are critical components to your ultimate goals, whatever they may be. This is your safe place to explore all of the emotions and questions you experience. This is about you. I look forward to meeting you and beginning the journey together.
